ZT-100-C Tool - Windows Installation Guide ============================================ Requirements ------------ - Windows 10 or later - USB-to-RS485 adapter (FTDI recommended) - ZT-100-C device connected via RS485 Installation ------------ 1. Download ZT100C_Tool_Setup_1.0.0.exe 2. Double-click the installer 3. Follow the setup wizard (Next > Next > Install) 4. No admin rights required - installs for current user only Running the Application ----------------------- 1. Double-click "ZT-100-C Tool" on your Desktop or Start Menu 2. A small control window appears showing "Server running on port 8200" 3. Your default browser opens automatically to the tool interface 4. If the browser does not open, click "Open in Browser" in the control window Connecting to a Device ---------------------- 1. Connect your USB-to-RS485 adapter to the PC 2. Connect the RS485 wires to the ZT-100-C device (A/B terminals) 3. In the browser, click the "Connect" tab in the left sidebar 4. Select "RS485 Terminal" mode (default) 5. Choose your COM port from the dropdown 6. Click "Connect" 7. The device name and version appear in the top bar Streaming Measurements ---------------------- 1. Go to the "Monitor" tab 2. Click "Start Stream" to begin live measurement polling 3. Values update every second (water cut, temperature, capacitance, current) 4. Click "Start Logging" to save measurements to a CSV file 5. The log file path appears in the top connection bar Log File Location ----------------- CSV log files are saved to: C:\Users\\Documents\ZT100C_Logs\ Stopping the Application ------------------------ Close the control window or click "Stop & Exit" - this stops the server. Closing the browser tab does NOT stop the server. The control window must be closed to fully exit. Troubleshooting --------------- - If the COM port does not appear, check Device Manager for the USB adapter - FTDI drivers are usually installed automatically by Windows - If the port is greyed out, another application may be using it - To change the serial port, disconnect first, then reconnect on the new port Uninstalling ------------ Use "Add or Remove Programs" in Windows Settings, or run the uninstaller from the Start Menu under "ZT-100-C Tool".
